RD250LC

Matching numbers Australian delivered RD250LC restored to “New Condition” using mostly genuine Yamaha NOS (New Old Stock) parts. I have build photos documenting its progress, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into every aspect of the restoration.
Built by motorcycling legend and licensed motorcycle mechanic Dudley Lister, this project is not just about the bike itself, but also about the expertise and passion that shaped its revival. Dudley, a former Yamaha race engineer, has built top-level machines in 500cc GP, World Superbikes, Isle of Man TT, and Australian Superbikes. His hands have crafted machines in collaboration with international stars like Mick Doohan, Kevin Magee, Cameron Donald, and Stu Avant, as well as the legendary Tony Rutter, among many others. Notably, Dudley was instrumental in securing Yamaha’s first victory at the Suzuka 8 Hour endurance race with the Tech21 Yamaha in 1987, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s racing history.
This magnificent bike not only retains its original aesthetic appeal but also offers versatility with both 350cc and 250cc barrels, pistons, and carby settings. This means whether you want to showcase it at a classic motorcycle show or take it for a ride, you can easily switch configurations to suit your needs.
You will not find a better example anywhere in the world, as this bike stands as a testament to the golden era of motorcycling, blending history with performance. With its rich heritage and Dudley Lister’s expert craftsmanship, this RD250LC is not just a motorcycle; it is a piece of art and a collector’s dream, sure to spark admiration among enthusiasts and collectors alike.
